If you like CSI type stuff Patricia Cornwell and Tami Hoag are some of my favorite authors. You can stream movies on your computer from filmzzz.com legally for free. Write letters to the baby for a hope chest to be read at 16th,.,, OOh OOh I have the start of one... My dear child.. it is so funny everytime you complain about how unfair I am as a mom, and how you never get to do what you want... I go back to those weeks of bedrest when I was confined to bed 3/4 of the day and could not do anything much. ...... hehehe. In closing , go wash the car, love ma. Hang in there chica, I just came off 6 weeks of Bed rest and I got severely addicted to medhelp... :) I went back to work today and was all excited up until about 2om then I flashed back to how if I was home it was blueberry smoothie and nap time. I really do not think I have the temperament for my job at this current state of beached whaledness. 31weeks myself... We will overcome! xoxo
Thanks ladies! I just don't seem how my doctor can ask me to lose 4 pounds by Monday! There is no way I will be able to do that! Especially by sitting on my @$$ all day. LOL. I will have to take up some of these new hobbies.
I have 2 friends who have had preeclampsia, and also a co-worker. My co-worker had to be on bed rest for 7 weeks, and my friends for 4-5. Follow your doctor's orders exactly and just try to stay positive; there are lots of things you can do while on bedrest to help the time go by. Here are some ideas:
*Organize photos; make a photo box for baby's pictures and label each category by week, event, etc...
*Organize your recipe book(s); flag the recipes that'll be easy to make when baby gets here.
*Research how-to and recipes for making your own baby food.
*Keep a journal of all your thoughts and feelings. Write letters to the baby.
*Address envelopes for your birth announcements.
*Organize your phonebook w/everyone's most recent contact information, including emails. Make a new section for babysitters.
*Create your birth plan, if you want to have one.
*Make a list of things to pack for the hospital; get some ideas from gals on here on what to bring if it's your first.
*Seek new-mom clubs and forums online, and ways to get discounts and coupons for baby supplies.
Best of luck to you - I will be 33 weeks tomorrow as well. We're getting close. :)
Sorry I don't know anything about it. Just on here to wish you luck and hopefully the rest of your pregnancy goes well. Take it easy.
I haven't had it but my SIL did. She always get it. Once you get it, you have a 1 in 3 change of getting it in future pregnancies and my SIL always does. They have never put her on bed rest though. They just sent her over to L&D to be induced.
