With my first they did check my cervix when I was in labor and that was it. With this one my midwife mentioned having it done if I ever pass the 40 week mark, along with a sweep and a day to be induced. But she said it was completely up to me and that I don't have to have it. X

I'm so confused I don't fell very comfortable with them doing it around 36 weeks which everyone on here seems to get! As I had a pervious still birth I'm not aloud a water or home birth and also I'm getting check twice as much but I'm not actually getting told anything I ask my doctor and midwife but never seem to get answers! I'm slightly lost! X

With my first pregnancy I didn't get my cervix checked until I was actually in labour. but I read lots of comments from women saying they get it checked every time! Haha

No I don't have to pay anything. In NZ all medical expenses come from tax money. But we also don't have doctors delivering our babies like they do in the US. All midwives here. I'm 24 weeks with baby #2.

I'm not from the UK.  I am from new zealand. But I agree. Seems like everyone else is American.  And the health care system is so different here compared to the US.
