anxious and nervous

Okay, tomorrow is the big OB appointment, I was able to find a doctor that would see me before 10 weeks. I will be 6 weeks and 6 days at the appointment. I am very excited to be getting in and very nervous all at the same time. Two things are really concerning me:

1. I was following the Trudeau diet, HCG shots and low calorie eating. I stopped as soon as I found out that I was pregnant. I lost 50 lbs while on the diet in just two short months. What concerns me is the HCG, I didn't realize that it was a fertility treatment to stimulate the ovaries. DH and I had been trying to get pg for 20 months so I am ecstatic that I am, but now I am worried about multiples. Is it possible to get a u/s at this time or do you think the OB will make me wait?

2. I miscarried in December of 2006, so I am just plain worried. I can say that this pregnancy seems different. Nausea (no vomiting thank God), tender breasts, fatigue (what I wouldn't do for a cat nap right now, almost lunch where I am) etc. Unlike the m/c, my symptoms are still persisting. So, the question for those who have miscarried and are pg or have carried to term is did you notice a difference in your pregnancies between your angels and babies?

What should I expect at this visit. I very much want to hear the heartbeat and get the u/s done. I think that will take away some of my fear of m/c'ing again.

Trudeau diet link - (really works and fast)

It was first used by Dr. Simeon's but the Trudeau is a more expanded version.

I don't think you have to worry about multiples with just the HCG shot.  That shot is just to make sure you ovulate.  It is the fertility medications that are usually given prior to the shot that put you at increased risk of multiples because they make you produce multiple follicles in one cycle.

Also, I can say from experience, that once you have a m/c, you never stop worrying.  But as your pregnancy progresses, it does lessen a little.  I am 17 weeks today and I still worry about my little one.

I hope all goes well at your appointment!!  Good luck!

Every dr. is different. I have never had dr. appt and a u/s done at the same time. My guess is that he may wait a little for the u/s. But if you dont "know" how far you are they may do one earlyer? The only different I have notice about this pregnancy and my m/c is I have all the pregnancy sym. now. With my m/c I never got sick, but I thought it was normal because I was never sick with my son. AT 6w6d they wont try the doppler its just to early for that. Even when you see your baby on the u/s or hear its Hb, My guess you will still be scared. I know I am. It helps alittle but then you are back to worring.......

What is the Trudeau diet?
