UTI/Macrobid help ladies!!!!!

So my Doctor told me I have an infection and prescribed me Macro bid but in the past this antibiotic never helped me and I would just end up with another type of infection and also I read online horrible things about this medicine while pregnant and how women lost there baby's I'm so scared I don't want to take it but I know that if o don't take anything it could cause the infection to worsen:'( my instincts are screaming DONT TAKE IT help!!!!!

My Doctor called me yesterday and she said it had went away thank god!! I also drank lots of water and cranberry juice and I guess I did good!! Thanks again everyone I feel a lot better I love this site I'm a ftm so I have no idea what to expect and its nice to have support:)

I took the same thing at 6 weeks for UTI and drank lots of water and it went away

Thanks ladies! I just finished taking it and so far so good, I got a repeat test that I will hopefully know the results of soon to see if it cleared up. Let's hope, thanks again!!:)

I took the same thing at about 8 weeks for uti...it's a safe antibiotic and it's also a low dose they give to pregnant women...however if it doesn't normally work for you I would ask your doctor for something else!

When the dr put me on macrobid i got a horrible yeast infection that did not clear until after i had my twins.

Im taken keflex which is a really good antibiotics i took macrobid  last time and it didnt work so they put me on keflex for my uti

I was given macrobid at 20 weeks for a uti my dr said it was safe to take while pregnant.  Im now almost 32 weeks and baby is fine. Although i think she said yeast infections were common with it I never got one. These sites online may not be the most reputable so I wouldn't listen much. Plus if you dont take meds you could end up with bladder or kidney infection.

Perhaps you can see another doctor for a second opinion or you can ask your doctor for a diffrent perscription.
