Af cramps vs pregnancy cramps

Is there a difference between the two? I have heard some people say they have cramps as an early symptom, but are they the same as af type cramps? I have been having cramps on and off for a week now and I am 14dpo. I tested at 11dpo with a negative and I am not prepared to see another bfn. Can anyone offer hope?

I'm not sure what it was from, if it was a coincidence that I got pregnant the same cycle or what BUT this is my experience...

~Mar 4 started AF
~CD 16 I ovulated (or so I'm guessing it's usually CD 15/16 and I don't know for sure since I got pregnant)
~3 DPO started getting bad cramps
~4 DPO had cramps again
~5 DPO spotting
~6 DPO spotting again
~7 DPO cramps again
~10 DPO spotting and cramping
~11 DPO BFN with FMU and BFP that night
~12 DPO BFP with FMU

I'm now 26 weeks 5 days pregnant with number two. I don't remember having any cramping at all with my son, but then again that was over almost three years ago that I got pregnant with him and I didn't chart anything...he was a first month/first try baby. If you want to check out my chart, you'll have to go back to March when I conceived but this is a link to my ovulation tracker so you can see it all, just take out the spaces.

My cramps are not painful, I just notice something down there every now and then. I have felt like this for a week now. I am sure it is probably af, but trying to hold on to what little hope is left.

I remember with my first (and only) i think i was always a little crampy thruout much of the pregnancy.,..... its your uterus stretching and getting ready for baby... It is definatly normal to cramp here and then but not "painful" abdominal cramps.... by painful im saying that they are noticable and you have to either lie down or tak e a little break.... i have little twinges of cramps....

We have been trying for almost 2 years now! It gets frustrating. If i am going to start I would rather start already then suffer through this wait. How are cramps related to pregnancy? After implantation?

well.... i USUALLY..... get cramps a day to an hr before AF arrives..... and this cycle ive been getting cramps on and off for the last two wks. It MAY be a sign of pregnancy and it may NOT be.... just gotta wait and see. IVe been ttc for quite some time already about almost a yr..... im not worried bc we "arent" exactly timing anything...... so whatever happens goes.
