Urine tests at dr. visits?

I see a lot of you posting about doing a urine sample at all ur visits, what r ur dr.s testing for?  My dr only gave me one at the first visit to verify pregnancy...

Every appointment of mine I had a urine test done. You should speak to your Dr about it.

They should be doing it at every visit to check for your glucose levels, if there's any protein, luekocytes, etc.

They're checking the urine for protein. If protein is spilling over into your urine it can be indicative of health problems such as pre eclampsia.

They test for infections and such

Usually they check to see if you have any sugars in your urine that shouldn't be there
