Using vaginal clindamycin while in first trimester
I am 5weeks pregnant I have been prescribed vaginal clindamycin cream just wondering if it’s safe?Everything I have been reading says causes miscarriages????
Did the prescribing doctor know you are pregnant? They are usually pretty good about making sure what they prescribe for a woman is safe when pregnant. It's pregnancy category B which means no danger they've found to human pregnancies. They've tested it on mice and they have risks. So, that's in their package insert to be careful with it. I would call your doctor about it if you are concerned!
