Was Diagnosed with PCOS in March and now im 4-5 Weeks pregnant.

I had a miscarriage in sept 2011. And didnt have a period for 5 months. My GYN diagnosed me with PCOS. And gave me a medicine to start my period. Now I found out Im pregnant again. Will this affect my pregnancy in anyway good or bad? This is my husband and i second pregnancy and were really excited.

Congratulations! I have pcos too and have a nearly one year old and am 14weeks pregnant. With pcos you are at high risk of gestational diabetes as the two are very.linked. I was told this in my first pregnancy and sure enough I tested positive..I was put under consultant care..saw a diabetic team and advised on foods.was given growth scans and plenty of help. I will be tested again for gd with this pregnancy and have been told not to ve surprised if I have it again.. You should be tested around twenty something weeks. Other than that there aren't any additional problems you are at risk of. Congrats again xxx

I'm not 100% but having pcos shouldnt affect the pregnancy once pregnant, its the getting pregnant that can be hard due to irregular cycles, congratulations :)
