Was talking to a friend.. OMG..

I do not judge, but wow.
She's pregnant and smoking weed like it's nothing because of morning sickness.
I told her to talk to her doctor but she says she doesn't want child protection involved.   She also sees nothing wrong with it at all.
I only know her first name, not her last or where she lives.
I think she needs to think of her baby and have told her so.
She just says,  my baby is fine.

Even so, if she says she can't talk to her doctor because she doesn't want child protection involved then she must know it's not right.

Not to mention it is illegal to have it or smoke it to begin with.

How for I make her see what's she's doing I'd morally wrong?

Thank you for the comments.   I already have 4 children and am pregnant with number 5.

Where I live you can't have weed, it's still illegal and she needs to talk to her doctor for alternatives or permission.

So far, nada.  She's a nice lady and all.  She's also very generous.

I just think she should get options from her doctor.   I wouldn't want her to get randomly drug tested and come positive without talking to a healthcare provider.

Yep.  She'll be found out and that she didn't discuss it as being used for morning sickness---  they'll assume she is a chronic drug user.  CPS will be called most likely and the baby will be drug tested at birth.  AT least that is the situation here when random drug testing finds drugs in the system.

Again, you sound like a good mama to be!

There is a reason why she's too afraid to talk to your doctor.   Here they can do random drug testing.  She really needs to stop.

I know what your saying.  I don't smoke weed and only take tylenol if I am half dead and also only antibodies if I need them.

I don't even drink wine.   I don't even drink while not pregnant.

It's easier for me to say stop since I don't do any drugs.

There are no studies done on pregnant women about marijuana cause birth defects, etc. Obviously any smoke you inhale is cutting off oxygen to your baby & thats enough for me. Personally i support marijuana legalization, i do not support smokinh marijuana during pregnancy because it cuts your bbys oxygen off.

Hi there.  Well, she must be an acquaintance if you don't know her name or where she lives.  In a situation like that, I'm not sure about convincing her.  She'll learn on her own.  She may not realize that they do a urine sample at every drs. appointment, right?  At some point, they may check things like this.

Everyone knows that smoking weed while pregnant isn't wise.  But some will do it any way.  If the doctor's suspect drug use, they will test her urine.  She'll be found out.  Then she'll have many questions to answer.  That is a sad situation.

but, it's not YOUR situation.  So, you've told her how you feel and that's about all you can do.  peace

My cousin smoked weed with her last child and told the doctor she had tried 5 different neausa medications for her morning sickness and nothing was helping. So she tried weed and it helpped she told her doctor to let the doctor know and he was very nice and honest about his medical and personal opinion.  He said he wouldnt recommend smoking because anything you smoke is bad for you but there also isn't any medical test providing evidence that it is bad for you but if it helps with your morning sickness and this is how you are dealing with morning sickness thats your choice. Her daughter was 7lbs 10 oz full term and shes 3 now and nothing is wrong with her.
