I wouldn't worry too much about pineapple either, to be honest. I had a miscarriage before I was pregnant with my daughter, (not pineapple related, haha) and when I was in the first trimester with her ALL I craved was boiled peanuts and pineapple (oh..beef jerky and nerds candy too I guess, lol). I ate it with every meal for about 8wks, and never miscarried, so I'd say eat pineapple if you want pineapple..it's such a tasty fruit! Now I want some pineapple...LOL.
What pineapple does is soften your cervix, not cause contractions, but in early pregnancy I don't think it would have enough of an effect to matter.
"Pineapple contains the enzyme bromelain, but in a minute quantity; a person would have to consume at least seven pineapples to have any effects. The most likely effect of eating a large amount is bowel stimulation, which can kick start the uterine action, similar to the way castor oil can." - found this quote for ya :-).
Haven't heard that. I think that pinapple on the other hand can cause unterine contractions which in early pregnancy could cause you to m/c. Which is bad for me, I loveeee pineapple! Lol.
I agree with the others, no problems at all with watermelon. It also has a lot of water, which is good for pregnancy; you want to stay as hydrated as possible! It might make you pee a lot, though, lol.
I ate tons of watermelon with my first baby!! It hepled me shed some water weight b4 I would weigh in @ doc office!! My nurse was a skinny minny n was always commenting on how much I had gained!! The doc didn't care, but that women drove me nuts!!! Lol..;-) plus it has vitamins good 4 baby!!

No it does not hurt your pregnancy in any way.
