We decided we really want a baby but I am on birth control

This isn't posted in the correct place but I didn't know where else to ask...! We have decided we want to have a baby. But I am currently on Microgynon 20 ED and have been for about 6 months (I was on something else for 1 1/2 years and then changed over) We worked out that from my next period I will ovulate between the 13th and the 17th of January. Would I conceive if I stopped taking my pills a week or so before that? I know a few people that have gotten pregnant while on birth control!

I was on Ortho Evra (the patch), but I have been lucky enough to conceive on the first cycle.   However---- this doesn't happen for everyone, so don't get your hopes up too high on conceiving right away.  It may take a few months.  Good luck!

i was on a slightly different pill from you so i don't quite know it they work the same, i was taking microgynon 30, when we decided to try for our little girl, i stopped taking the pill dec 28th so we would be able to start hoping n the new year. According to my conception date the hospital worked out, I concieved the day i stopped taking the pill lol. so you can fall pregnant fairly quickly, though the docs like you to have a true period so they can better date your pregnancy but it isn't really compulsary for any other reason or so i'm told. I wish you luck and all the best hunny! :)
