If you are hungry you should eat..you're eating for 2! 25/35 lbs is completely normal. The last month you should gain a pound a week. I can't believe your doctor told you that. I would be so mad.
That's crazy, I never hard of that before unless you were very over weight to begin with. My cousin is about 250lbs & she gained 20 while pregnant, they said that was normal for someone her size. I was 130, 5'4 & have gained 30lbs so far. I'm 31 weeks now, my weight was so wonky with this pregnancy, first i gained too much & the doctor was worried, then i didn't gain anything for a couple months & they got even more worried... Now I'm right where I'm supposed to be. every doc is different but I've never heard what you said before. What a beyotch lol.
thanks ladies! i did end up switching to a new OB...im a military wife so i just assumed that whoever i got at my visits, i had to see. I requested to never see that Doctor again, she was extremely rude and told me i was obese! I will definitely get some nuts to snack on, i never thought about that!
This is ridiculous!! I would find a new ob! If you are average bmi you are supposed to gain between 25-35lbs. Get a 2nd opinion and follow what your body is saying. Baby needs fat right now for brain development.
Screw him. Mine told me to eat more so I wouldn't lose anymore weight, but I'm still losing. But maybe try eating nuts and high protein food so you get that fulfillment without the weight gain. Good luck :)
