Weird question about drug testing...no judgement please.

Ok so this is a weird question, I have tried researching and can't seem to get a direct answer, plus I am afraid to ask my doctor as she will think my household is unsafe for my child or something. But anyways, my bf smokes pot for chronic back pain from a terrible accident that he was in 3 years ago (and takes some medications). And I was just thinking, because my hospital drug tests me.. is there any way that any drugs in his system can pass through to me and make me fail a drug test, or harm the baby? Like can it pass through sperm or anything? I have searched forever and can't get a direct answer.

My hubby is a heavy weed smoker. Smoked all the way through my last pregnancy. I was tested at every appointment and came back clean, as did my son when he was born.

If u inhale a lot of it u could possible but u aren't getting high so I don't think there should be a problem

I was wondering the same thing? I sometimes sit in the garage with my fiance while he smokes pot and he unintentionally blows it in my face everytime lol, hes gotten better but he still slips up every now and then lol will i fail a drug test from being around it?

Hair sample will shoe up on him but not effect you Hun

Stuff like crack stays in the sperm for up to five years I think but as far as weed or pills anything in like past 90 days if the take a hair sample will show up I no this because my brother was on drugs and doing pills and baby was having withdraws and he has nervous condition and speech problem but just smoking weed and taking reg meds you and baby will be perfectly healthy

My hubby does drugs and smokes weed and drinks and I get drug tested at every app and it comes up negative every time so from experience I would say no it wont transfer to you or baby, but I'm not a doctor nor have I asked a doctor so its just my experience here

Ok. Does this go for all drugs and medications as well as alcohol? I have been thinking the same thing but my aunt insists that its possible. But I thought that was only possible if he was on drugs or drinking at the time of conception.

no, if you aren't directly smoking the weed you will come up clean. and no harm to baby either lol.

no don't worry as long as you are not around him while he is smoking. There is no way it can pass through his semen.
