an update for those who were wondering

well i ended up seeing my doctor the next day (i decided to forgo the whole er thing.....) turns out i'm now 2 1/2 cm dialated and the mucus was "normal pregnancy" mucus. i had my u/s done on wednesday and the boys are perfectly healthy and normal. but my ob did put me on full bedrest with legs elevated. so fun times for me. lol. i had to go to my docs second office on monday and the nurse was sooooooooooooooooo RUDE!!! i mean horrible horrible people skills. if you don't like people WHY be a nurse? if you enjoy making pregnant women feel bad about themselves.....you're going to hell i swear!!! this woman had the odacity to make a comment about my weight (i'm pregnant with twins...i gained 50 lbs....so shoot me!!), then pretty much told me i was stupid for thinking the yellow mucus was my mucus plug because obviously EVERY woman knows it's brownish with blood...hello my FIRST pregnancy!!! i didn't know. this is all new to me. so GAH!!!! thank GOD that's not the normal office i go to!!!

So Im glad to know you are doing better... I have had 3 kids and my mucus plus was always yellow and never came out all at once... Also only once was there blood. I work in an ER and let me tell you some nurses think they now it all... Usually the dumbest ones... Some are so desensitized from what they see they need to find new jobs... It is sad how people act when they are in a profession that demands compassion and caring and they are selfish and rude.... Srry about the bed rest.... Good luck and take it easy for real... Those babies need more cooking time!!!!

sorry to worry everyone. i've just had so many appointments this week and have been feeling so super super tired.....it's like when the mucus started coming (which it still does occasionally and i really don't think it's normal....) i've just been completely wiped out. the bedrest isn't so so bad.....i just get so freakin bored laying in bed or on the couch all day long. i'm a total neat freak so i keep sneaking into the kitchen to do dishes or secretly folding laundry. i keep telling my mom the cleaning fairy came to visit. lol.

oh this woman was horrible!!! who comments on a pregnant womans weight?? especially when she's carrying twins!!!! that's just downright mean!!! and that woman at your office sounds just as bad. some people....should just be smacked.

well glad to know that the nurse doesn't know what she's talking about!!! i was reading up on the mucus plug when i got home and so many sites i went to said that it varies from woman to woman. some may be yellowish and cloudy others brownish and both may or may not have blood. sometimes it comes out all at once and other times it breaks apart. so the woman just.....i wanna shove my size 8 up her ***.....

We have been wondering where you've been and what happened!!! Every day it seemed someone was looking for you... anyway, glad to hear the babies are still "cooking" but BOO to the bedrest! Hopefully time will fly by.

And yeah, that nurse should definitely find a different career. That was really rude. Maybe just a bad day, but I dunno... I've run into people like her in people-care professions before. Like this one time I waited for an hour-and-a-half with a cranky toddler who was crying and she opened the waiting room door and said, "Oh, somebody is tired" in this syrupy, sickening voice. And I snapped back, "Yeah, well we've been WAITING forever!" Yeah, not my finest moment. I chose a different doctor. He was equally as rude as her.

Glad that's not your main office and that things will be fine! And for the record---my mucous plug was yellowish, NOT brown, and no blood!
