We already gave you all the major causes...
Btw, my doctor never tested my urine. He only went by my blood pressure.
My doctor diagnosed me with preclampsia when I was pregnant for my son. They induced me 2 weeks early. Come to find out, because I'm a bigger girl, I had to have a larger cuff for taking my blood pressure. Didn't find this out until my 5th day in the hospital for induction 2 days after I had my son. Took a STUDENT nurse to realize this and I decided to use a different doctor this time because of this ridiculous rookie mistake. So far, I've been fine this whole pregnancy, even though I'm a smoker and I'm almost 280lbs. If you're on the larger side, I recommend having them use a larger cuff to see if it helps.
If not, you can try cutting back on salt, sodas (especially cokes or diet sodas because they contain up to 3 tablespoons of salt), elevate your legs and get plenty of rest and fluids. Avoid strenuous activity and try to relax when you get your bp taken. Sometimes, you can get antsy or anxious at the thought of an ultrasound or hearing the heartbeat, which can cause your bp to rise. Take a few relaxing breaths as they're taking it and see if it helps.
I hope it's not preclampsia because it can cause seizures during labor (which is why they induced me early) but if they doctor is taking a urine sample and testing it every time you go in, they should detect it early enough for you to be okay. It usually results in bed rest and the aforementioned induction.
I wish you the very best of luck! Love and light be with you and your baby! <3
And the only cure is delivery of the baby, but your Dr will keep a eye on bp and check for protein in ur pee I'm sure ur bp isn't high enough to cause them any concern or they would have sent u for the testing of protein
You could be developing pre eclampsia.. its a condition that causes high bp swelling and protein in ur urine
