pregnancy vitamins

Hey everyone! was just looking for some advice or even just some info. I'm around 9 weeks pregnant and just started taking some pregnancy vitamins. They seem to be making me sick!  has anyone else had this problem? I'm kinda worried, since i can't keep them down that the baby wont get enough good vitamins and nutrients.

I had the same problem with my vitamins.  I have found that if I eat half my lunch take the vitamins and then finish my lunch then I don't feel as sick.  Good Luck!

Another thing you can try.....if you take the vitamins in the morning right now....try taking them with lunch or dinner.  With my last pregnancy I found that it helped tremendously to wait til later in the day and take it with a meal.

My last pregnancy I took a chewable prenatal. It made me very neauses. This time I'm taking a gel tab and have not had any problem with an upset stomach. There over the counter I get them at costco.

Hi Emily,

Then you need to discuss this with your Dr.

it's different to morning sickness and nausea, and the vomiting has only started since i started the vitamins, and generally comes on about half an hour - hour after i have taken them...

Hi Emily,

If you are talking about morning sickness and nausea........it's quiet common in the first trimster. And i don't think it is related to the vitamins you are taking.
this morning sickness usually ends in b/w 14 -16 weeks.

Best of Luck
