What do i do !?

So I haven't gotten prenatal care because of insurance issues and I don't work and my parents don't make enough money to actually have enough to help me out , I'm about to be 16. I applied for medicaid on September 2 so late i know but its because I didn't have a legal status until now but i haven't gotten anything in the mail or call. So I'm wondering I only have about a month to go I turn 9 months on the 31st this month and i just want to know like once I'm in labor do I just go into the labor and dilivery part of the hospital and tell them I'm in labor or what do I do ?

I live in Ohio and I think every state has 30 days to approve or deny your case. I would call medicaid and have them look up your information with your social. If you're approved for it medicaid will cover the previous 3 month bills before you applied. So if you applied September 2nd they would cover any bills from June 2nd forward. A lot of hospitals also have discount programs or assistance for people who don't make enough that you can apply for. I recommend getting checked out soon. Your baby and your life could be depending on it. Better safe than sorry.

Oh my God, that is extremely dangerous. You could have complications you are not even aware about, such as down-sydrome, or one of the trisomnia series. This could pose a threat on your life, too, especially at such a young age with no prenatal care. The ER will see you since you are so late in your pregnancy, I HIGHLY recommend going into the ER and telling them how far along you are, and that you have had no prenatal care, they can perform an ultrasound for you. Also, contact your local women's health clinic, or health clinic in general. I pray for your health and the baby's health, absolutely no prenatal care at 8 months is unreal.

Call whichever location is closest to you, the one you dropped your application off at. I'm not sure how it's done there but in Chicago it's done by districts.
I'd advise you to go in there and talk to somebody, they're so backed up in every state they won't get to you soon enough. So go in and talk to somebody who works there, tell them you applied but it's EXTREMELY important you have verification of pregnancy from a clinic. When I went in they told me they're so backed up they're really inky pushing for medical emergencies. Told them I'm pregnant and an hour later I had my medical card.

Thank you guys , I live in Nevada btw. The reason ididn't do it online was because they told me at the welfare office that they've been having problems with their website so that's why I decided on leaving it there so they can mail it out. But ima see when ican go to one of their locations to know what's going on in this next week. If I just call though do i call any location and ask what's going on ?

It's very dangerous not to get any prenatal care. I understand you're in a difficult situation and I can't imagine how overwhelmed you're feeling. There are so many things that can go wrong with your health and with your baby's health during pregnancy. I would encourage you to contact a pregnancy crisis center, or WIC office who may be able to get you prenatal care while you're in the process of getting Medicaid approved. Know that you will not be legally refused treatment even if you go to the hospital without insurance. If you have any concerns before you go into labor please don't hesitate to get care at the ER or labor and Delivery. Everything is going to work out. Push through this hard time for your baby and find your inner strength.

I was in the exactly same situation you're in. I got my Medicaid card at 11 weeks pregnant. Calling doesn't help, they're unorganized. Go to a clinic and get verification that you're pregnant on paper. Make sure it has the clinic's official stamp or something and is signed by either a doctor, P.A., or nurse. Locate your local Department of Human Resources and tell them you are pregnant and need health insurance now. Show them your pregnancy verification. They'll make you fill out an application, I filled out the application online and a few days later went in after it was processed. In the application state that you are unemployed. Bring your parent's paycheck stubs also, just in case. Quite honestly I was told to make myself look more poor than I am so they really push for approval.

I went to the workforce services office where I lived(idk if it's the same where you live) but I went there and got online and looked. I hadn't received anything in the mail and I didn't hear anything either. Turns out they had my old address and didn't undated my new one. But I was approved I just didn't know. So idk if y'all have one but if so go up and try too see.

My parents were willing to put in everything for me but we had just moved into a bigger house and my sister ended up moving out so they have to be spending more money on paying bills. But they've helped me buy everything ineed and my mom's throwing me a baby shower.
But so do I go into the labor and dilivery section when it's time ? And if I'm pass due when would be a good time to go and get induced ?
