What have you done/considered doing to try and bring on labor?

I thought since there are several of us trying desperately to evict our babies that it would be fun to hear stories of what everyone has tried doing in order to bring on labor and whether or not they felt it worked.

I've never done anything out of the ordinary, just did a lot of walking.  I did however make DH take me for a very rough and bumpy ride in his old Chevy pick up yesterday.  It obviously did something becuase I have been having a lot more pressure and a lot more contractions.  They just aren't strong enough to do anything at this point.

So what have ya'll done?  Herbs?  Jumping Jacks? Galloping down the street?

Well I've been 3 - 4cm dilated for about 2 weeks now and have tried sex, nipple stimulation, and LOTS of walking. Each time I will have contractions 3 to 5 minutes apart but only for like 30 to 40 min then it goes away; so frustrating!! I'm thinking baby just isn't ready yet. I find out today if I've dilated any more :-)

I guess the pineapple only works if you eat like 5 or more!! LOL and they have to be fresh apparently! I can't remember where I read that but there's something in it that you need a lot of in order for it to really work!
You also have to drink about 4 cups of the raspberry leaf tea a day too to get the full effect.
Maybe just try talking to your baby!! LOL Say "It's eviction time!"

Well two people have mentioned pineapple so maybe I need to go grab some and start munching LOL  Still nothing more than contractions and pressure.  The contractions are further apart than they were last night.  I'm still super tired though.  I've napped maybe 5 times this entire pregnancy and 2 of those were yesterday and today.

Ok, I didnt read everyones comments because we are just getting ready to run out the door but... Here is what I have tried.
Sex
Evening Primrose Oil
Black Cohoch
Pineapple
Jumping jacks
Walking
Relaxing
Red Raspberry Leaf Tea
Im not sure if anything is working because I have not been check in over a week. I do however know that baby dropped after DH and I tired the "what gets baby in, gets baby out"
method!
After I have my next app., if I get checked... I will let you know if I have dilated any more or anything. Last monday I was 2 cm and soft, that was all I was told.....
Good Luck
P.S.
I have been having contractions all morning, a lot more then usual and stronger but I havent noticed a pattern yet.

I am sure I am a little late but with my first son I walked all of the time...I mean all of the time... 3 times a day! He was massively large (8 pounds at 36 weeks) and I had been having contractions for about 2 weeks or so and the night before my water broke I went to L&D and I was dilated to 3.5 cm and they sent me home! So I gave in and did the castor oil and ate a huge can of pineapple and pineapple juice and 6 hours later my water broke. I didn't do anything with my second... I just cleaned like crazy (a lot of bending, walking, stretching, vacuuming, mopping, etc) and as soon as I sat down and got up off of the couch when I finished my water broke! With me it seems like the baby has to be a certain weight and the contractions that make me dilate in the beginning never hurt and I am not sure I am in labor until my water breaks lol! Good luck though!

There used to be a poster on here, can not remember her name.  But last time she kept telling me to go outside and jump up and down off the curb.  Never tried it though.  At this point I'm considering jumping jacks tho :)
