What is normal?

Hey Ladies!

I have miscarried twice in the last 9 months.  Last weekend my husband and I found out we are pregnant again!  I'm trying to be exciting, but I am also very scared.  This would be our first baby.  I had cramps and spotting with the last two pregnancies.  This time I have cramps, but no spotting.  When I lay down to sleep I get a somewhat severe cramps, but I think it ends up being gas...is this normal?  I am also wondering if anyone of you have endometriosis.  My doctor told me years ago that I don't have that, but my symptoms tell me that I do.  I recently looked up consecutive miscarriages and a cause was endometriosis.  I know I sound a little paranoid here, but I am just worried about another miscarriage and what could possibly be going on with my body.  Any insight would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Thank you so much!  I miscarried around 5-6 weeks both times and progesterone was low.  I am currently around 5 weeks and have been taking prometrium supplements since I got a positive test.  So I'm hoping this time is different.  Thanks again for your help!

I have endo and my dr is sure that it didn't cause any of my mc. I have had 2 with a live pregnancy in the middle. It did take me 4 yrs to concieve my son though. Endo usually makes it harder for you to get pregnant so the fact that you are have been pregnant 3 times in 9 months is great. My mc's were both early 5 and 6 wks. I am now 27 wks preg and had to go through IUI to get pregnant. Like Clysta said, I would make sure your dr is doing blood work to check progesterone levels because that could be the problem. I had cramping with this pregnancy and spotting but with my mc's the cramping was severe and spotting turned into full bleeding.

Good luck to you!!!

The cramping can be normal, but it shouldn't get extremely severe. Has your doctor been doing blood work? If not, have him check your hCG levels and progesterone as well. It's possible yours could be low, and low progesterone can/does cause miscarriages as well. If that's the problem, it can be fixed by supplements. As for the endo, I'm not too clear on any of that. It's not a problem I have, nor do I know anyone with it. Good luck to you and your pregnancy.
