My tattoo artist won't tattoo you while you are pregnant or breastfeeding. As for the ct, you should be okay, but you can always pump an dump or ask your pediatrician.
Tattoo is a no. The pain can bring on labour. So most places won't do it. Hair colouring is fine though. It doesn't get anywhere near the baby.
Alot of tattooist won't tattoo you if your pregnant. Mine wont and she is a close friend. Your skin can be more sensitive ay this stage and your heart rate can change quickly. Most of them dont like the chance of you fainting in the studio. Plus your body is changing so think about wether it will look the same after you loose your baby weight. But really it's up to you or the pearson doing it.
Drink a ton of water, the iv contrast is almost entirely excreted through the urine
I ha a ct scan with contrast when baby was maybe a week old, I was told to pump an dump for 48 hours but I did some research and found that it is not necessary. You are correct, about 1 percent will make it into the milk and the baby will absorb a small percentage of that.
They are rightfully concerned with the iv contrast bc it notoriously causes acute renal failure in otherwise healthy individuals, and it could be dangerous for babies tiny kidneys, however the child only gets a tiny percentage.
You have to weigh the pros and cons to determine if you want to pump and dump, I chose to not breast feed for about 6 hours rather then 48.
The tattoo I am considering is my son's small hand print on my shoulder. I am going to continue to breast feed when my son is hungry. The tech seemed positive that this will not harm my baby. I was just trying to get some extra opinions.
u can get a tattoo while pregnant...................i had a big chest piece done for my daughter and there was no harm............of course...i was power pumping so i had extra milk and just pumped and dumped after my tattoo....
It shouldn't be an issue. I had surgery and was BFing 6 hours later..
Even with the ct can with the iodine??
No Tats for sure hair color is ok there are organic dyes lot of shops use. CT scan shouldn't matter
i was told no tattoo but yes on the dying
