Whats in a name?

Ok so I'm getting annoyed!! I decided on a name for my baby girl............Originally we were going with Catalina....But with all the Catalina's out there: the island, salad dressing, wine mixer, etc etc I really like Katalina..instead. BUT im really interested in the meaning too and almost every website I find though is different...I cant get one solid answer. Some say Greek some say italian or latin/spanish most of them say its a form of Katherine.........and pure just like Catalina others don't even have it and one of the websites actually said "Katalina" means "lovely sunset" and that its an italian biblical name? What is it??? Can anyone clarify for me/?  I'm 38 weeks btw!!:)

I also look up meanings to my children's names, so when i researched catalina for you, i made sure the same site gave me the right meanings for my children's names which it did. But marajean said just go with what you like :)

thanks ladies..........thank u marajean think thats what im gonna do...just wish i knew which one was right......owell i guess it doesnt really matter as long as i like the name!:)

If it gives so many meanings, I'd go with one in your blood line (Italian, spanish,etc) or if you don't know your background just choose which meaning you want it to be and clarify when someone asks that it's greek for..or spanish for..

I have found that Catalina is Spanish and the meaning is Pure. :)
