When is it time to start preparing materialistic wise?

I am only to be 8 weeks! But I wanted to know when it was OK to start grabbing diapers, wipes, unisex clothes (since gender is unknown) and you know like getting nursery etc.? Also, I just eat cheese itz and vegetarian vegetable soup. Nothing else. Is this fine?

Thanks for the clothing advice! I haven't seen an OBGYN yet. I made an appointment. Waited 3 hours for them to say, "Oh doctor isn't in till next week... but here are some magazines!" I was upset.

You can get them at any drug store. They're not too expensive. But you should definitely be on them. Alot of people just take Flintstones vitamins.  I bought the Wal-Mart brand ones.

Start taking prenatals and definitely take them every day. I would wait until after my baby shower to buy a whole lot althoug, I wouldn't see any harm in buyin like size 1diapers and wipes and such. If you do decide to buy outfits, etc I would buy 0-3 and 3-6. No newborns because, you'll get a ton of those at your shower.

I was that way at the beginning of my pregnancy. I'm 36+1 now and Im pretty much shoveling food in my mouth all day now. Lol. Maybe you could add some kidney beans or any other bean into your soup for the protein. Beans are a really good source of protein. That's what I did when meat didn't sound good. Other than that your prenatals should make up for most everything else! Good luck!

No, I do not feel nauseous or sick. I just don't have an appetite. I can want ice cream or you know? a burger or anything and then I see it (but don't get sick) just don't wanna eat it. I only wanna eat cheese itz and Special K cheese cracker chips and soups but that's it.

I'm SO nervous now considering it IS NOT the safe zone yet. I ride motorcycles (like street bikes) and just try to stay doing normal things but I'd hate to think any little thing can be a major mistake.

Things can go wrong but doesn't mean they will.
I think your fine to start buying daipers now.

That's all you eat because your so nauseous or that's just all you eat? If it's all you can hold down because your sick then yeah. But your baby needs more nutritional wise than that will provide. Protein is really important as well as all the other good things from a well balanced diet.

I haven't really bought anything for my baby & I'm 30+4. My baby shower is in 4 weeks & I'm hoping to get everything I need then. But if not ill still have a month to prepare :)

I would say a little after 30 weeks. Try to hold off in clothes as much often id what is given at baby showers.

Baby showers happen a month or two before you're due date. I wouldn't buy ANYTHING until you are 26-28 weeks. I lost two babies in my second trimester and unfortunately this happens to too many woman. I know its hard to wait but its better than having everything and something goes wrong.

I don't think I'll have a nursery since my pregnancy was fast and unexpected and I might move out but not soon.. BUT I am planning a big baby shower. When do those happen?

I'm 21+2 and have decided to hold off buying too much stuff until my babyshower. Only bc they are huge in my family and you tend to get everything you need. But if that isn't the case for you, then I'd start buying things after 12 weeks. That is when the risk of miscarriage goes down. Right now I'm focusing on the layout and painting of his nursery and it is sooooo fun :)

I was told dont buy anything until you find out the sex and also probably wait until after the baby shower. So you can sit down andd see what you need after everyone's presents. I'm focusing right now on the nursery and completly scrubbing it down and then figuring out paint and curtains and stuff. That will keep you busy!
