I had a miscarriage on March 22 (when I passed everything) of this year, I would have been 9 1/2 weeks. When I first began bleeding I immediately went in to see the dr, at which point he confirmed I was indeed having a miscarriage. I did not need to have a d&c because my body was doing it naturally. When all was said and done, I called my doctor to see when I should go in for a follow up, but he told me one was not needed since it seemed as though everything went fine (as if anything about a miscarriage is fine!). He never once spoke as to how long I should wait before trying to conceive other than saying that I shouldn't have a problem getting preggo again. My hubby and I decided to not wait and started trying to conceive immediately after I was no longer bleeding. Obviously we didn't wait until my next cycle to start before TTC.

Sorry about the long story....Here's my question. When should I take a HPT to find out if I am preggo? As of yet, I have not had a period. We are really hoping it happens very soon.

I experienced two miscarriages in one year. It was devastating experience. My babies were still alive but my body kept on bleeding heavily with no chance of survival. I already had one daughter. I couldn't get pregnant after that and it took whole year for it to happen. I asked doctor to put me on progesterone to help the little embryo adjust. Even though I was still bleeding and thought I was miscarrying again everything went ok. I am pregnant with twins now and again I asked for progesterone. 13 weeks pregnant and growing :-) I wish you best of luck. Take your time though and think positively. If it's meant to be it will happen. <3

I had my second mc on April 30th of 08' on June 5th 08' i tested and I was 2 1/2 weeks pregnant. good luck to you.
