When to buy baby stuff

Am 24 weeks pregnant with a baby girl!! Yay! Am just not sure when to start buying baby stuff.. Only reason i ask is because my family thinks its best to wait till like the last month because "you never know what might happen".. But i feel am economicly stable to start buying stuff.. What do u guys think?.. Shld i just start or wait.

I agree with Mamabear, wait after baby shower to avoid unecessary stuffs. Third trimester is better. Also, we are getting a house and I chose to wait until we're in our new home, but my plan is to have everything purchased and nursery all set 4weeks before due date.

I didn't buy anything till after my baby shower. I was 34 weeks.

You might wait until after your baby shower, just to see what you get first. I went ahead and bought the crib and other furniture earlier, because I know the people in my life aren't rich enough to be buying me furniture. Even in the last month anything can happen, but you're out of the danger zone of early pregnancy so go ahead and buy what you want. :)

You can start with little stuffs whenever they're on sale. Plus it's good time start doing research on the big ticket items like crib and stroller. I read tons of review and safety features, plus going to the store to look and play with them a bunch of time before we finally commit to any one brand and style. Then I sit and wait for them to go on sale, lol.
One thing I just learn from my child care class this week. It is not recommend to have anything beside the mattress with a fitted sheet in your baby's crib for the first year. So no mattress bumper, no blanket, no stuff animals, nothing decorative that is within reach of the baby. Just your baby wrapped in a receiving blanket in sleeper outfit, sleeping on the mattress.
Kind of glad I didn't spend hundreds of dollar on the cute bedding for baby crib.

I started when i was 20 weeks i bought a pushchair n then over the tyn i just got lil bits n bobs n now u only have. 3 weeks left n im sorted if u end up havin. a boy u can selk all ur girl stuff n buy boy stuff ethier way lol

im only 10 weeks and i already bought a bassinet! lol. im just too freakin anxious! its unisex though. i probably wont buy too much more before i find out what it is. i say go ahead and go shopshopshop! lol. i know i will be getting allllll kinds of clothes once i know the gender! its too exciting for me! lol

Start buying now if you'd like!!! I've been collecting since about 16 weeks, and I'm now 24 weeks. Buying stuff is exciting!!

I started buying stuff during my first trimester. I just got the crib a few weeks ago.but I went to a huge consignment sale and got a ton of stuff for cheap. So I say whenever u feel u want to. Its a lot of fun! But make sure u don't buy everything because u will get stuff at the baby shower.

I bought a crib before I even knew what I was having, then when I found out I was having a girl that very day I went out and bought so much pink stuff!!!  If u want 2 buy stuff now then go 4 it!!
