Is this your first pregnancy? Have you felt the baby move before? It is very likely that you're just too early to really feel him yet.
From webmd:
"You should feel your baby's first movements, called "quickening," between weeks 16 and 25 of your pregnancy. If this is your first pregnancy, you may not feel your baby move until closer to 25 weeks. By the second pregnancy, some women start to feel movements as early as 13 weeks. You're more likely to feel baby move when you're in a quiet position, either sitting or lying down."
I didn't feel my little guy until I was about 20 weeks along. And even then, it was only light flutters. But now I'm 26 weeks along and I definitely feel him KICKING every day! So, like I said, it might be that it's just too early to feel anything yet. Especially if it's your first pregnancy.
Good luck!
Being overweight can make it more difficult to feel baby. I'd give your doctor a call and tell them you're not really feeling much movement and that you want to be looked at. They can check for the heartbeat or they might even give another ultrasound. You can also ask them where the placenta is. If it's in front of the baby, it acts as a pillow and kinda muffles the movement.
Well i had my ultrasound on july 12 and they said he was growing like he should. I don't remember any conversation about the placenta and as far as my weight goes i was 225 when i went to my first check up in march, but my weight is going down and up i was 223 a couple of weeks ago when i went to the wic office and when i went to get my check up last week they said i gained 1 pd and it was from when i was there in june. So i think im either worrying to much about the un nessary or im just not eating like i suppose.
Have you had an ultrasound recently? Did it show that baby was ok? If so, did they say where the placenta was? What is your current weight---were you under, average or overweight when you got pregnant.
