When to test for pregnancy

Hi,
So i am on a 35 day cycle. and about 7 days before i was due, i got spotting / bleeding. its lasted 2.5 days started and stopped. it was like a super light period. i used 4 panty liners in those 2.5 days and they werent full when i changed the liners. but a similar colour to period. so i thought it was just an early period. but it was soo light. my actual due date is today 29th October. and i done a pregnancy test which was negative.
My question is, is it possible the spotting /bleeding a week ago was a early light period and i wont get one this week. or is it just possible i tested too early. not sure what to think.

:) congratulations on the wedding! And if you are pregnant, I'm sure you'll still fit in the dressjust fine, it may just end up a little snug. Good luck!

Usually hcg hormones rise best after your period had come and gone. some test can test a little sooner. It all depends. I would wait a little to see what happens. It could be implantation bleeding, out out could have been a freak period? Did you have a lot of extra stress this month? Eating decent? Can be causes of an irregular bleeding.
