When your water breaks

So when your water breaks is it like a whole lot at one time?  Or does it slowly like "leak" in a way?

The day my water broke, I came home from work, took a shower and wen i plopped down on my bed I thought, "OMG!! I have completely lost track of my bladder.  Omg I gotta get some Depends.  How am I gonna last another week or two like this!?"  Took another shower, needed new panties again.  After a few panty changes I called a friend and she told me my water broke.  It had been.slow enough that I thought I was dripping urine, but within an hr, I had to keep a towel around me and wen I checked into the hospital the chair I sat on hot soaked.   Good luck to ya!!

I was about to ask a similar question. I thought the other day that my water has been leaking I had to go to L&D cause of contractions and told them about it. Well my husband and.I had.just had sex the evening before and they said they couldn't donthe test cause semen will also turn the test positive. So.my question is. Does it have an oder and if so what does it smell like? Does it have a color or is it clear? I've had two babies already but I've never had my water break before
