Sears also has a good selection of maternity clothes. I was just there last week and they had a TON of things on clearance. Also, I plan on living out my last 6 weeks of pregnancy in the Florida sun with some light non-maternity sundresses. I was able to find an ADOREABLE dress at the Goodwill. Other than that, I have found most of my maternity clothes at Motherhood, Kohls, Target and consignment shops.
For the beginning "fat" phase, I found that the Bella Band worked wonders! I was able to wear my regular pants, and just didn't button them. And my sisters' didn't tell me about the rubber band trick until fairly late in the game. You can make your regular pants last longer by putting a rubber band on the button, looping it through the button hole, and securing it back on the button. It's like a free button extender! :)
I also check on Kijiji cause theres always stuff on there cheap :)
I went to Burlington Coat Factory and in the Baby Depot they had some really cute capris and shirts and the prices weren't that bad either.
walmart is good. I live in Toronto and Motherhood Maternity and Thyme Maternity are good :)
this last time I didn't buy any maternity clothes. I still had some from my other pregnancies but many of them didn't fit becuase I was carrying differently. I went to walmart and bought a bunch of Danskin Now apparel. It's pretty cute and VERY comfy and even though it wasn't maternity it fit really well. I LIVED in that stuff it was great. And soooo much cheaper than maternity stuff. Most of my other stuff I had previously bought at thrift stores.
Check out consignment stores as well. Most people wear them for a few months then get rid of them so you can find great clothes for a fraction of the price. I spent $100 and got 2 skirts, 4 pants and 6 shirts and it all looks brand new!!
I haven't looked for tanks at Walmart, but I LOVE the ones they have at Target. Those are great even when your not pregnant. It's a super soft stretchy fabric and it comes down long enough to layer. I'll have to check Walmart next time I'm there.
Kohls has some good clothes. I like to dress stylish and cute even when pregnant and Kohls has some great stuff!!! And of course old navy!!! In the summer I actually found cute tanks to wear with leggngs or jean shorts at walmart!!! yes walmart!!! lol
Awesome! Old Navy really is great. :) I bought a bunch of maternity stuff and clothes for my son for the summer. Awesome deals and great clothes.
Thanks! I went online and got two dresses, two shirts, two bra/tank tops, and a pair of shoes for $150 from Old Navy. I can wear leggins with the shirts and dresses until the weather warms up over the next month. That with what I had left over from my last pregnancy and I think I'm set.
I got a few thing from Motherhood Maternity and Old Navy. I think bottoms are fairly true to size but shirts were smaller. I'm normally a medium and had to get smalls in most of my maternity shirts. Until the very end...then I could have used some bigger shirts LOL
I agree with Chantal21 about Old Navy. I bought jeans, skirts, and shirts from them and the shirts I bought with my last pregnancy were a little big, but fit perfect the last month. :)
Quality wise, I think they are great! I have gotten stuff from Motherhood and was never happy with the jeans and shirts and even dresses I got there. But Old Navy, has proven to be good so far, well in the things I have bought. As for size, I think they are okay. I say okay because the jeans were perfect! I'm typically a size 10-12, and for that size they said to get large. Perfect fit. But for the shirts, I normally wear M/L depending on who makes it and I'm glad I got mediums because I think their shirts are on the big side (at least the ones I got). I could have gotten away with smalls, but now I know.
Did you guys find that the old navy stuff was true to size? Also what did you think of the quality?
I got mine from Old Navy online. They have more a of selection online than going to the store. Most of the stuff I got, was on sale which was awesome! Being that I am tall, I liked being able to get jeans that were made for my length. They are perfect. They had really cute shirts as well.
I have bought some from Old Navy.
