I also read that it was not safe to take during your pregnancy at all and it falls in category c . She told me to take it for 14 days,  2 pills per day. I'm ont going to take the medicine without calling her back and consulting another doctor. When I went to the pharmacy I asked if I could take it and he asked how far along I was and when I told him he said its fine.

I am in the same boat you are in.  I am 15 weeks.  My doctor assured me that it is safe.  I even left her a message that I had seen it was not highly recommended for pregnancy but she still said she felt safe about it.  I can't help but worry after every pill I swallow, but sometimes I over-worry.  haha
I'll be glad when the 3 days is over.  I've made it through one.  I've been taking it with food because I read it can cause stomach upset.  I think I'm starting to have a little diarrhea.  Also, drink at least 8 oz. of water when you take it and continue drinking lots through the day to prevent kidney problems, plus it helps flush out the uti.
What I found on the internet said that it is a category C drug and that it's not recommended close to delivery.  I also read one place that it can block folic acid absorption.  My doctor only prescribed it for 3 days but when they did the urine test mine was abnormal but not extremely.  I had started to have some symptoms, though.
