Earliest for Gender Scan?

When is the soonest you were told what you are having?  I am being scanned and I'll be 14w4d when I'm scanned and I was curious if this is a good time.  I think it will be and I'm more concerned with the baby not being cooperative.

i found out at 17 weeks 5 days and had it confirmed at 18 weeks.  it is def a boy.

i was told at 13 weeks with this one, and they confirmed last week.  with my son we knew at 12, and confirmed 4 days later, since we had an amnio done.

Oh Cool.... so then he will really be trying hard to look for ya.... and I bet he will see something and you will be able to share with everyone on thanksgiving! Good Luck!

I was told by our doctor 18 weeks... we found out at 18w5d.  Again, I don't think the techs/doctors like to confirm anything earlier than 18 weeks because it isn't accurate.  But, maybe you will get a sneak preview like some others have :)

Well, a friend of mine that works at the hospital asked the guy that scanned her when she was pregnant on the side and he's scanning me.  We were originally going to have it next Friday and I would have been a day shy of 16 weeks.  But, DH wants to know before Thanksgiving, if possible, so we can tell everyone.  My gut says boy, so hopefully we'll see the "goods"!

I went in for my first scan and i was 13 almost 14 weeks......the tech was able to see it was a little boy! We were so excited... BUT  Darkestlight is right, they dont really like to say what it is that early so the tech might tell ya they cant say or that they are not 100% certain.... and I do think its easier to see boys that early...... SO it definitely is possible if you have a good tech! Good Luck

Oh I am almost 25 weeks and at my 19 week scan they did confirm it was a boy so she was right!

Hi! I was just getting ready to post a simiiar question. LOL  I have my NT scan in 8 days and Ill be 13w 6d. I was wondering if they could possibly tell then. Im gonna keep an eye on this post :)

Usually they can not tell for 100% till about 16wks although I've heard of women being told they were having boys as early as 13wks..... I think boys are easier to identify.
