Did it take long for you to get a BFP on Metformin?
My friend told me I should talk to my OB about it, I took Fertilaid for 3 months & finally got my monthly AF in June after having 2x AF each month for about 1.5 years.
Looking into everything. (:
Hi was reading your comment, I know everyone is different , this is my case, i have PCOS, my ovaries are blocked, so therefore I am not ovulating or have AF. I was on meds to help me O, because I was TTC, I was wondering if that would work for me, I am still taking metformin the doc gave me to help regulate my hormones and stuff to see if that would work, I tried Fertilaid last year and I did have a AF for the mth I took it...where did you buy your Vitex and what mg are you taking for a day?? I am thinking I should give it a shot to see if my menses go back to some what normal... I am tired of using all these meds and hoping to try something less stressful on my body..who knows maybe these herbs might actually be what I need!!!
thanks...
The Vitex works for me I am still waiting for a BFP but my cycles are normal its only a matter of time now. I am saying if you want a normal cycle you start with Vitex and you will see the difference right away. I am taking them 3 x a day then after 8 weeks I took them two times a day now am down to once a day as for what the bottle says.
and I get mine online at GNC and its only 7$ thats awesome.. no side effect or nothing.
Am Ov on CD 11-12 and thats awesome my cycles are 23-24 now thats a amazing to me since I would go months with out AF at all.
Try it and see it works.. and is even better for those with PCOS. I have PCOS.
Sorry it took so long to respond. Yes, Yaz is a birth control.
I bought some FertilAid but haven't started it yet. It also has vitex in it so if that's the key ingredient, has it too. So hope it works for us too.
I wanted to add that I had irregular and very long cycles. I don't even think I was ovulating till I started taking the Vitex.
Doctors probably won't talk to you much about alternative therapies like herbal supplements and what not. I know mine didn't! I took Vitex (Chastberry) to help regulate my cycles. I also started acupuncture to help balance things out. I tried on my own to conceive for about 8 months before starting the Vitex. I really saw immediate changes when I started taking it. I started the acupuncture a few weeks after the vitex. 6 weeks into my acupuncture treatment my acupuncturist told me I needed to take a HPT because she was feeling that I was pregnant. Sure enough...I was :) So, if you are looking for something less invasive than drugs you might consider trying the Vitex and/or acupuncture. Some insurance will cover it and some won't. To me it was worth the money to try it. I'm so glad I did. I was kicking myself for not going sooner. I have continued to see the acupuncturist once a month during my pregnancy. I have had no morning sickness and in general...I feel really good.ed
I have heard of Fertilaid. I don't know of anyone personally that has used it though. Read up on Vitex and see what you think of that. It won't hurt anything to try it.
I was an irregular too,, i tried a lot of stuff and prenatal vitamins are not going to regulate your period.. My Ob gave me METFORMIN which is a medication for diabetes even though i dont have diabetes it is also to regulate ur period.. That helped for me and I now have periods every month...At this time i am pregnant but it really regulated my period. you should ask your ob about...
Is Yaz a birth control? Im ttc so thats the catch! :)
My gyn put me on Yaz to get rid of my cysts on my ovaries and regulate my cycles.. I don't know anything about fertilaid.
I would probably research other OBs because I don't think prenatals can regulate a cycle, and plus I think they should be much more responsive to questions. They should have at least said they would look into it. good luck!!! :)
