Will labor start soon?

I am 33 weeks and 2 days pregnant. At my doctors appointment I found out I was 1 cm dilated.  Doctor has put me on pelvic rest with NO sex. She wants me to at least wait 4 weeks before I have the baby. What are my chances I will go into labor soon anyway?

You can be dilated several cm for weeks, 1 cm doesn't mean much - especially at the stage you're at. It's doubtful you'll go into early labour to be honest.

ive been having the same symptoms as you... alot more discharge, looser and more frequent #2, and ive have BH and small random contractions since i was about 17 weeks. Got checked at 26 weeks and i was softening with "a little dimple". Wonder what im at now that im 29 weeks! And I wonder if im having this baby early! Hopefully not for atleast 8 weeks.

I have Braxton Hicks contractions often, but never in a pattern to be concerned about. (Tmi) but having a lot more mucousy discharge. All of my bowel movements are more frequent and much more loose

Woman can be 1 to even 3-4cms dilated for weeks before they go into labor. Are you having other symptoms of preterm labor? Lots of contractions? I would listen as far as the bedrest goes, and take it easy. Good luck mama!
