Work while pregnant ??

So I am 12 weeks pregnant, and I work in hospitality, doing functions at a hotel, and my job is very high stress and a huge workload. I'm always on my feet and from the moment I get to work to the moment I get home it's just go go go. Before I was pregnant I loved my job, I like to be busy so it was perfect for me, but during pregnancy it feels about 100 times harder than it originally was. I'm worried that the stress and energy I put in to my job will affect my baby, and should I take it easy for a little bit?

My opinion, is if its not physically too hard for you try to keep going. But if it is emotionally too hard, I would quit because stress really does affect the baby. People say stress can affect babies all the time and no one takes it seriously. From my own experience with my first two children I was very stressed out, and they were cry babies lol. Recently I had my third child, and had no stress at all , and my baby is the most perfect little angel and never ever crys.
When youI feel it's time to stop, stop. You'll be doing what's best for you and your baby. Happy mommy happy baby. :-)

I work in the same field but at a country club doing events and parties, weddings, etc... it is a LOT of work! I have limited myself to two-three days a week because anything more than that kills my body. I am 33 weeks and I'll probably continue to work a shift or two here until I get closer to my due date. Its all up to you and what you can handle. Do not push yourself!

Unless you are being worked to where you're having complications like high blood pressure there wouldn't be a reason to stop working. I have a friend and during her pregnancy she worked at a fast food place and it gets really busy you gotta be on it working there ( it's only in out state where it's located). She kept working till she was 26 weeks because she was getting high blood pressure and her doctor wanted her to stop. My job was me just basically sitting because I worked at call centers. I would assume unless it's causing harm to the baby your doctor would say to stop but just depends on if you would be ok financially as well. Try to look more into it at your job as well if you can do paid medical leave and if you qualify for it.

It's all up to you and what you can handle I worked with a girl who was pregnant and she worked the entire time until she was bursting at the seams I honestly don't know how she did it . It was a super busy restaurant a tiny kitchen and she worked in the back section on lader and I **** you not it was like 55 degrees back there . If you don't think you can handle it either ask for reduced hours or leave . You and your baby are what's most important right now
