Working

Hey everyone! I was curious about people working and how long you plan to? Also when do plan on going back? I am 37 weeks and 3 days and still working. I am a cashier and always on my feet. I am exausted when I dont work, so the days I do work I feel like sleeping for days after. Not to mention I have a two year old who keeps me moving even when Im not at work. I talked to my doctor and he said I work up until I deliver "im pregnant not disabled". Ughhh Ill deal but I just wanted to hear everyone elses expirence!! I also plan to go back when the 6 weeks is up.

I plan on working til im 30wks and im not sure about going back to work though after shes here. Im a ftm and i want to enjoy her all i can. I say its on you if you want to take early leave because it can be hard and then dealing with rude annoying customers thats a no no

I'm 34+2 and I'm still workin' and plan on workin' up to my due date or when he wants to come, that way I can have more time with my baby boy when he Is born. I'm a Sales Associate at Walmart and I'm job coded as an Jewelry Associate, but I also work Apparel/Fitting Room and Shoes when they need me to. I'm constantly on my feet, bending down and fixing things on the bottom shelves, pickin' things up, walkin' back and forth helping customers find things, etc. It has been a very big pain In the butt lately, but as long as I'm takin' frequent breaks and have water around, I can manage.

I haven't decided, due to the fact that I may switch jobs after my maternity leave is over because they will not give me full time.

My original plan was to work til my due date. Now I'm thinking about leaving at the beginning of June. I'm a housekeeper so I'm always on my feet, bending down and it gets pretty painful at times! Work told me they'd switch me to laundry but I've yet to see it. So I'm not sure. I won't be going back to work until summer next year when season picks back up.

I'm 19 weeks today and having a hard enough time already standing on my feet all day. As it stands now I'm probably going to take off at 37 weeks because I don't need doctors permission as long as my boss agrees. I plan to use that time to nest and relax as much as I can before baby comes. As for going back, I'm not that certain yet, but I'm probably going to take four months off. In my province we can take 31 weeks maternity leave and then possibly even have another year of parental leave after that. But I know I won't be able to stay away from work for very long.
