Worry Wart

I had my appointment yesterday and right now I'm 12 wks and 4 days and my doctor said it should be about time to hear baby's heartbeat. Well when she tried listening for 5 mins but nothing, and she said not to worry because baby is probably in a weird position or is just being difficult. Because of this my doctor scheduled an ultrasound appt next week. Even though my doctor said it nothing to worry about I can't help but to worry. I don't know if this has happened to anyone but would sure like some advise and reassurance.

The doctor couldn't hear my baby's heartbeat either but the ultrasound showed that it was healthy and it's heart was beating away

my midwife wouldnt try listen for a heartbeat til 16 weeks + .. just relax least you see your bubba next week now :) x

They had trouble finding my baby's heartbeat at 12 weeks too! I'm sure everything is fine!

At 15 weeks they still couldn't find my baby's heartbeat using a regular doppler. Don't worry :)

I have been an OB nurse for 3 years and can tell you that babies before 20 weeks can be very hard to find with the dopplar, they're still very low in the pelvis and have a lot of room in the uterus to hide. Try not to worry
