I agree with sweetangel- they're not always reliable. Plus, you may have a surge in the afternoon after peeing on one in the morning and totally miss it. The best option is to check for cervical mucous AND use another form of pinpointing ovulation (such as BBT or the OPKs). By using two methods you stand a greater chance of figuring out ovulation. Plus, noticing CM is great because it also helps keep sperm viable longer.
Also, you can deduct 14 from 27--- you will most likely ovulate on or around CD13 (so BD from CD10-16). Women ovulate 2 weeks BEFORE their next period, not the other way around. That's why you're in the 2WW (two week wait) when waiting to take a pregnancy test.
I'm sure you know all of that but just a friendly reminder.
I would say yes but get the digital one! i tried the regular ones and you cant tell the lines like always there and apparently if its not darker than the test line its a negative and thats just confusing!
Thanks to all for your comments i have only just this month got my cycle back to normal 27 days with AF lasting 5 days severe cramps the first 2 days then nothing. i also get cramping halfway through my cycle which i think is when i am ovulating but hopefully i will find out this month
No, I wouldn't recommend them...for me they were inconvenient and irregular with their results. I could only take them once a day because of work and some months I wouldn't show a surge and others I would...I read online that ultimately, you should test 3 times a day (morn, noon, night) because you could get a neg. in the morn, a pos. surge at noon and a neg at night. I think the story and pics were on pee on a stick . com. I was much happier with using my bbt method and fertility friend's website.
Good luck!
I did them for a few months ( had long cycles) so they were a waste of money for me. 1 month i never did ovulate.
however i'm thinking of using them again, if so go to the dollar tree. they are a buck and there is no shipping & handling and they work jsut as well as any that i've used!!!
However, just charting your BBT on Fertility friend is free and works well too
i bought my online......way cheaper i can't remeber the website, early-pregnancytests.com or something liek that
I used the Clear Blue digital ones. I started with them starting October 1st, and I got my BFP on 12/18. I used them for three cycles. I was also temping, which helped, and I was BDing every other day the cycle that I got preggo. I would use them again in a heartbeat. I can't confuse a smiley face or a circle!
They are a good source to use. But keeping in mind, a woman only has a 20-30% chance every month to get preggo, so even though you have sex on your fertile days does not mean you will get preggo. But they are worth buying. I took my temps, and i new when i was ovulating by the signs and symptoms i would have, like ovulation pains, my cervical mucus and increased sex drive. And i always almost all the time ovulated on CD15 unless i was stressed it would be delayed by 2-3 days.
I think first response has a pack of 30 i think for 20 dollars at walgreens but expires after 30 days from opening them.
I had sex 5 months in a roll on my fertile days and it took the 5th month to get preggo, some women have a more fertile environment than others, there are a lot of factors you have to think about that helps women get preggo.
Good luck, sending you much SSBD
thanks and good luck to you to!!
