X-rays during pregnancy?...

So I believe that my wrist is either broken or dislocated. It happened a couple of months ago. My hubby and I were arguing and then I just stayed silent and started crying and he kept asking me whats wrong but I wouldn't tell him. So he held me down by gripping both of my wrist and wouldn't let go even when I told him that it hurt... But anyways ever since then my right wrist always hurts, worse in the morning when I 1st get up. And occasionally during the day when I move my hand a certain way, you can hear a popping sound and it gets stuck and hurts when I move it.. And then I've noticed that the bone structure is a little different from the other one now. It looks like one of my bones are popping out. I've used one of those wrist thingies you put when you have a twisted ankle but it didn't help... So I'm wondering would I be able to get an x-ray done of my wrist while pregnant?

Your dr will weigh up the risk and whether its necessary to do now or later or if they can reduce the risk with a shield. I fainted and hurt my ankle at 19wks and they decided not worth the risk. I had emergency surgery on my abdomen at 21wks and needed an xray during the operation while under general anesthetic and they decided it was vital.

I had one done while pregnant. They don't like to do xrays on pregnant women but will if it's an emergency.

My friend had an xray on her shoulder they gave her a thing to cover up her belly. Just make sure they know you are pregnant
