what about neosporin?

It's used to prevent scaring, I would if that would work..

I think if you are going to get them, you will get them!!I used Palmers cocoa butter with Vit. E everyday and drank more than 64 ounces (8 glasses) of water a day.....I am 38 weeks pg, and I started to get Stretch marks at about 36 weeks....especially around my belly button....and I am not sure who said that stretch marks are not painful, but I think they are!!!!  I also looked in the mirror today and now I have them on my butt!!!  I am so grossed out, but I know it will be worth it!!!!   Someday, maybe I will get the laser treatment to get them removed (or fade them, whatever the laser does).......  GL girls...

You really aren't safe from getting stretchmarks until that baby pops out. I thought I wasn't going to get them but they showed up on the lower half of my tummy, below my belly button at about 8 or 9 months. Don't count yourself lucky until you pop that baby out girls!!!!

Im almost 21 weeks and I haven't have any stretchmarks...crosssing my fingers that I don't get any or only little.  I blame it on my excess body fat that is helping me with my stretching...lol

I'm 17w and have them on my stomach, but I guess I'm lucky because they're all pale white and not pink. However I have red tones to my skin so they show up a little.

And they may be from before when I gained 50lbs on Depo and went to 192lbs. I'm 182lbs right now.. so.. hopefully I won't get the bright pink babyprints. lol

The key is to drink lots of water!! Hydrate!!!!! Lotions don't really do much but the H2O will! Good luck everyone!!!

I'm not pregnant at the moment and I don't have any kids. I miscarried back in sept 07. Within months I started gaining weight. Ive gained a total of 20 lbs since the miscarriage...so it's like I was still pregnant! I've started getting stretchmarks on my hips and my thighs! NOT FAIR! At least you guys got/get a baby out of it! Lol...Dang! Now I gotta lose a bunch of weight! My mom says my appetite increased when I was pregnant and i think it just never went back to normal..Maybe it was depression. But I'm also thinking the m/c screwed up my hormones so that when I went back on birth control I gained weight from it...which I never had a problem with before *sighs* :( :( :( :( ....

I don't have any stretch marks yet I'm 16 weeks. I am 100% sure I will get them because my skin is just that way. I have stretch marks from when I was 11 years old still. My mother had 3 kids and no stretch marks at all. But I have a lot of stretch marks on my legs and hips way before I was pregnant.

I just don't want them on my boobs I love my boobs the way they are.

I'm only about 3 1/2 months and I already got quite a few of them.
But I guess it just depends on how fit your tummy was before pregnancy, and how durable your skin is to stretching.

I ended up with a bad concaution...
Fit tummy + non-stretching skin...
Ewwww.

I got them in the ninth month of my pregnancy and the were ALL over my stomach and bright red and purple (only gained 35 lbs). I honestly looked like I had gotten into a fight with a cat and lost. I used the palmers butters and pure vitamin e oil 3 times a day and I still got them. However its been 3 months since I've had her and they have actually almost disappeared. I know that they are still there but they aren't noticeable at all.

I am 37 weeks and just noticed a few marks on the left side of my belly around 33 weeks, closer to my hips though. They are not too noticeable though, thankfully. I use coconut oil and it seems to help with dryness and the marks. Coconut oil actually has been known to heal scars and marks. I had a horrible scar on my face from a burn with a curling iron, and now you can't even see it anymore. It took about a year to fade completely. This stuff is amazing! I have gained 28 pounds so far and I'm very thankful so far!

Aww im actually a lil surprised that i havent gained more as all i do is eat eat eat 24/7.

Like all day, everyday lol!!

Still squeezing into a size 8 though (which i think is a US size 4??)

I have the LARGEST BREASTS IN THE WORLD (a 30H dunno if this is the same in the US??) and a tiny size 3 feet so i think im gonna be falling flat on my face soon with all this front facing weight gain lol!!!

Stretchmarks won't go away completely but they will sort of shrink and they will pale so they look like shiny slivers all over your belly, hips, sides... wherever you have them!

First pregnancy I gained 50 lbs and didn't have stretchmarks except for some long ones on my hips.

Second pregnancy I gained 24-25 lbs and I got a TON OF STRETCHMARKS! They were even on my inner thighs, my breasts, stomach, hips. I just took a gander at them for you. I gave birth a year ago and my marks definitely look more pale and silvery and not red-purple anymore.

There are 14 lbs in a stone. So 9 stone 5 is 131lbs.

Pre pregnancy i was 117 lbs so have gained 14lbs already :(

What is stone? I know that probably sounds like a crazy ? but i think most of us from the US won't know what that is.  Or maybe its just me....but if you could explain it i would really appreciate it.

I am almost 21 weeks, no stretch marks on my stomach, just on my hips. It was the same with my first pregnancy too. I don't think the lotions do anything but keep your skin moist.
I guess if you do get stretch marks, it's for a good cause :)
