Yeast Infection?

So doctor said I have a yeast infection because my discharge is smelling funny. How many of you have taken fluconazole 150mg and have been just fine? They say there is risks taking it but that it's safe.  I'm 30w0d.

I took the pill and I wasn't itchy next day already. Going to depend how bad the infection is. And btw curing the infection is how symptoms go away lol. Wow ppl are so clueless. And my doctor has a list of what to take for everything when you pregnant. And monistat 7 isn't one. Monistat 3, gyne-lotrimin, terazole (prescription) and fluconazole (prescription). No 1 day creams. This is specifically for yeast infections.

Even with the 1 pill the doc gives you it takes 7 days too get rid of a yeast infection the reason why I used monistat 7 the 2nd time is cause the pill don't stop the itching it just cures the infection from the inside

I think you'll be fine huny. Our obstetricians don't give us things if they are a big risk. Like I said I took it 3 weeks ago at 21 weeks and everything is fine was good at last appt.

Yeah I am taking it. I think it just causes birth defects. And a yeast infection is worse then taking the pill.

Also if you want to know.the risks either wait and call doctor office tomorrow or read the paper that came with it that has the information about the side effects etc.

Huh there are risks with everything. Lol but that is the first thing my doctors office prescribes. Its a little pink pill you take one then in 3 days if still have symptoms you take second pill. I didn't need the second. They will only prescribe one time throughout pregnancy though after that you have to use the cream. Queried well fur me though that, wad almost a month ago.

That doesn't make sense if there is a risk taking it how is it safe? I would do some research before you start it to see what type of risk there are cause I'm sure they can find something else for you to take
