nauseas and passing out = trip to L&D

Well. yesterday after I got to work I was sitting at my desk working away, and I started to feel nauseas and like I needed to lay down.  So, I put my head on my desk put my fan on full blast and drank some Sprite.  Within like a minute I was seeing black, my ears were stopped up, and I felt like I was gonna pass out at any second - - which I did, for like a second.  I callled my dr and they sent me to L&D where they did bloodwork and monitored me and baby for like 4 hours - only to say my hemoglobin was a little low and go home, take some iron, and stay off my feet for a couple of days.  So in other words - this just happens sometimes is what I got.
Ughhh!  Now I'm so worried!!!  What could be causing this??  I've been having the nausea off and on since I started the third trimester, but the passing out part was NOT fun!
Any of you girls heard of anyone experiencing this in pregnancy?

Oh and I'm still waiting for the results of my bloodwork for the whole cholestasis thing....

Thanks girls!  yeah , they checked my sugar (I had just eaten a big lunch though) and my BP and everything was fine.
I think the nausea may be a stand alone thing too, bc I had it constantly until about week 16 and my dr said when you have it that bad in the 1st trimester it often comes back in the third, and it seemed to, bc I've been having it since I hit that mark.
Thanks for the input!

the same thing happened to me when i was pregnant with my first, late on in the pregnancy. because it passed and i felt ok afterwards i didn't actually seek any medical advice. i was anaemic at the time though. it's frightening as i recall, but my baby was born late and healthy so no harm done.

Did you by any chances eat anything before you passed out? Early in my pregnancy I too would get really dizzy and have to sit. After eating a sweet snack, I started to feel okay again.

I am not sure about the nausea because sadly mine never went away, so I am not sure if that is a indication of trouble.

Hopefully this was just a one time thing and you will be feeling better for the next thirty days. You are almost at the finish line, hang in there girl!
