Yeast infection. TMI!!!!!!!!!!

so I have a yeast infection and was told to use monistat. Well I've been uncomfortably itching for WEEKS now and needless to say, monistat makes it worse before it gets better and I am almost in pain from the itching right now. Anyone else have this and know how to fix it?!?!? Or just relieve it slowly.

Your doctor can give you a pill and some terysol number 4. It's safe and will take care of it

The one time pill is called Diflucan, and it's a category c in pregnancy. Doctors offer it, but if the vaginal stuff works, that is the safer choice.

They just wanted to play it safe since I'm so close to my due date. She said they don't prescribe oral meds until I've tried topical treatments and they don't work. Which now it's working so there's no reason to take meds. I totally get where my doctor is coming from. It is frustrating, but mines well try the cheaper option first

I had a pretty bad one where I had to keep jumping in the bath because it was so itchy and gross:( I'm telling you oral ones where it's like a tampon & you insert up your vagina works really good and it comes with cream For the itchy part!it's real come to have in pregnancy because of build up of your hormones could make yeast and that is how you get yeast infection

I had it too when I was 30 weeks & I'm 35 weeks now. Just go to Walgreens tell the pharmacy the issue & u can buy the stuff right over the counter. It is completely safe! It's 15$ & as soon as you go home to use it it's a instant relief! My doctor told me it's safe
