Anyways to decipline a one year old without spanking.?

I read age appropriate disciplining on Dr. Phil's website and it said for
0 - 18 months
use Positive reinforcement and redirecting
positive reinforcement is showing the baby what to do instead of what not to do so if the baby does something good show alot of praise and show how happy you are. Redirecting is just doing the same thing over showing the baby what to do instead of what not to do. Other forms of discipline at this age doesn't work.

Sit in the corner with no toys for like 5 mins.

Disciplining him or her this early might not have any affect. At this stage they are gonna make mistakes and seek comfort and Attention. It's so tough to saywhat else you sshould do, you have to use your inner Mommy intuition on what's the best thing to do. Stay calm and dont blame yourself if you make a mistake♥
