advise on prawns

just wondering if prawns r safe to eat when pregnant, im 26 weeks gone and was planning to have prawn cocktail for xmas dinner but a few people have said not to bit I thought they was ok does anyone know if its ok

Yeah I buy them too aslong as you follow the defrost and cooking instructions properly! I could just eat a big prawn salad now can't get enough of them lol.

thanks stacie.rose its normally the frozen ones I buy and defost them and mix them up with the saurce is that ok

There fine aslong as there cooked properly, I've eaten tonnes thru this pregnancy, enjoy :-)

thanks I will do I dont eat any fish apart from cod mayb once a week or fortnight and will b the first prawn cocktail since last xmas but will check

a small amount of fish a week is ok.. too much is not because of the mercury in it. ask your dr what their opinion is
