air safety

Hi, I'm 7Weeks along, and I'm a registered nurse in home care. A client I see often has 6 dogs, all of different breeds a cat, and a bunch of birds. The house is unclean. There is often dog feces and urine on the floor and the birds are allowed  to fly around and poop where they please. My concern is that being in this house may be unsafe for me and my child. Any thoughts?

Well, I checked a few things on google couldn't find anything specific. But the one common theme was avoid as much of that sort of thing as possible, so I would say avoiding it in general may be wise

I do know of toxoplasmosis, as I have five card of my own, and my hubby now has the responsibility of cleaning the cat box. I'm just not sure if the bird droppings could carry there own diseases and if I should just avoid this environment all together...

Well, I don't know the specifics of all of them but I DO know that there's something or another with at least cats called toxoplasmosis (that's prolly spelled incorrectly) that is a microscopic parasite that CAN be in their feces and you DON'T want to be exposed to that, altho it isn't what I would call common I don't think
