Castor oil????

I've heard so many things both good and bad about castor oil. And I've also heard it won't work unless you are ready either. I'm tempted to try it but still kind of scared about all the bad things that have been said to happen. Anyone have any experience with it? If so please share!

Castor oil should be discussed with a doctor before use always. But if taken in the right dosage for your body is safe and can cause labor. You need to stay super hydrated and take the right dosage otherwise it can be harmful. This is why it shouldn't be taken without consulting your doctor or midwife. But I have heard way more good stories than bad.

There are some babies that live thru this. But don't do it. Your baby will come when our baby is ready to come. Not a moment too soon. Let it happen naturally so that baby ks good and ready for the world when it does come!

Not me personally but someone who I know did.  She was told to use it by her mother. The baby had a bowel movement while still in the uterus and injested his own feces. Causing him to have an infection in his lungs.  Sadly he was not strong enough to fight it off.  Please please please don't consider this an option.  Let baby come on his or her own.  It's okay to go full term or a little over.  That ensures a healthy baby.  I want to meet and hold my son just as much as any other mom wants to see her unborn baby but I'd take healthy over not.  Even if that meant that I was uncomfortable for an extra week or so.
