naming boy after daddy!??

So we have agreed on the name Edward Michael..first is after daddy..middle is after grandpa..my problem is I don't think ill be able to look at the baby and call him Eddie!! My hubby is my Eddie!!?? Anyone else have a namesake boy and have a tuff time with that? Btw, can't call him by the middle because there are abt 20 michaels, mikes or mikeys in his fam!! I need a good nickname!!! =)

Anyone have a good nickname?? ;-) I said bubba and my hubby hates it!! Lol..;-) now we are going to disagree on the nickname!!! Ahhh..naming our three girls was so much easier!!

I can't do that either!! Lol..;-) my hubbys dad is Ed!!! My hubby is a Jr but we didn't want this baby to be another Jr, just my hubbys first name!? ;-) I need a nickname!! =) ha*

I went through the same thing. Our first boy is named after his dad (first, middle,last jr.) It was even weird for my bd at first. We both called our baby "son" for like 2 months until we both just broke the ice and called him by his name. His dads name is Richard,  we call our son Richie and after a while it just grows on u. You love ur son so much and think hes the most adorable thing alive that any name would be ok!   I promise it might take sometime but it will work out eventually. And trust me its so much easier just giving ur baby his dads name rather than finding one u can both agree on. Me and my hubby have been trying to agree for 3 months ever since we found out were having another boy and its impossible for us. Hopefully we'll agree b4 the new baby arives in 11 weeks!
