antibiotics safe or no?

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and have been having some issues with my wisdom tooth. Last night pieces of the tooth just kept falling out, I called and talked to the on call person at the obgyn and they said they don't care about teeth. My face is really swollen and every one is worried it could be infected. My husband called back and the lady said she can't prescribe antibiotics. I just don't know what to do and going to the er is really my only option and something I don't wanna do :/ please help

My mother in law works in registration at the hospital so she called down and asked to speak to one of the drs, and she of course takes care of us so we came down.  Sure enough it's infected. So she's giving me an antibiotic and I have to call my dentist in the am.

Antibiotics are safe and will bring down the swelling and pain till you can figure out what to do. my ob prescribe antibiotics and pain killers for my infected tooth. They did say it was a onetime thing on the pain killers...

Then see a different dentist.

I've been to the dentist several times and he refuses to remove the tooth until the other mouth work is done. If it's infected um yes I'm gonna need something. I'm sure infection isn't good for the baby

You need to see a dentist. No question. Taking anti biotics isn't the solution.

I wouldn't have a problem taking antibiotics if my OB prescribed them (I was on them for UTI's and because my GBS was causing me to go into preterm labor) any other antibiotics that anyone prescribes you I would discuss with your OB before taking.
