any moms here that have had big babies or the ultrasound says big baby??

I just had an ultrasound and im 38 weeks. No gestational diabetes. No weight problems. No high blood pressure. But the ultrasound apparently shows that my baby is about 8lbs 6oz already.......
But my doctor isn't concerned..
Are ultrasounds usually off by any weight???

about a week before I delivered my daughter I had an ultrasound and they said she was 5 pounds. She was 7 pounds 1 oz when she was born. So unless she gained 2 pounds in a week, they were off lol

My first daughter weighed 7lb at 34 weeks and was born 10lb at 38 weeks. But im a diabetic. Ultrasounds can be off. They thought she would only weigh about 8lb at birth and they were so wrong.

My son was 8.8 lbs when he was born the doctor told me he probably be over 9 and everything was good in my pregnancy. I think they can be off its not a real scale to calculate the weight. It's just an estimate
