any one else ever have this....TMI

I dont remember this happening in my first pregnancy but then again that was 5 years ago and I didn't find out I was preggers until around 12 weeks.   But I have been having this aggrivating vaginal itching.  I read that during pregnancy it is usually caused by 3 things....STD which I know I dont have, Yeast infection which I have had before and this isn't like that...and they said the most common thing is itching caused by changing PH balance. I'm guessing that is what it is...it said bacon soda baths might help.  Anyone else ever had this.  It's getting on my nerves.

A yeast infection occurs when your PH is out of whack, yeast is a normal prtien on and in our vaginas and when our PH is screwed up we can get vaginal itching and discharge hence the yeast infection symptoms.

I was told by my doc that drinking to much acid such as OJ and pop can cause your PH to increase, and hormonal changes can cause it as well. Taking a lot of baths can cause vaginal itching and infection especially if you have soapy water in the tub.

I have only had 2 yeast infections in my entire life and I was young enough that I only remember the itching and man did it suck. I would try a baking soda bath like you said, or a colloidal oatmeal bath to help heal the skin that has been effected.

One thing that works the best and I use almost everyday is desetin diaper rash cream, or any diaper rash cream period, I have vaginal itching a lot when pregnant, and I have always used the diaper rash cream and it seemed to work the best, especially because it is so safe to use.

Good luck!

Try the monistat, the way you are describing it is exactly how most of my past yeast infections have started. I am very sensitive and get them easily. Get the monistat 3 day or even the 1 day, (three day has worked better for me in the past), then if its not better by the time you go to the doctor, they can test to see whats going on.

Yeah, mine is to. Vagisil and some of the monistat cream seems to help a little, but isn't solving the problem.

it's more like the skin around the vagina then the vagina it self.  I have also notice that skin is alot more tender now since i have been preggers

I am currently having this same problem, I thought it was a UTI, but that is  a no according to doc. So, I thought must be a yeast infection. Treated with monistat and still some itching. No chunky stuff though (sorry TMI). I didn't even know about the PH stuff, but that would make sense. With all the other crazy hormones. Let me know if you figure this one out.
