I used Parent's Choice Infant Formula to feed my twin boys and enjoyed watching the twins thrive on the formula. This choice took care of their nutritional needs and saved my husband and I nearly $1,300 on formula for the year! Parent's Choice meets all the same nutrient specifications as Enfamil and Similac - the FDA requires this and outlines infant formula regulations in the Infant Formula Act. Bottom line is there are no generic infant formulas - store brand formulas are recommended by doctors and Consumer Reports for nutritional value.
hey ladies- thank you for your responses. but i think maybe my original post was mis understood. my son only uses enfamil and i got a coupon for parents choice and wanted to know if anyone uses that so i could send it to them in the mail. it would help them save $5 on a can which would make the can very cheap. Let me know if anyone is interested.
me and Gina from the Feb forum send each other coupons all the time in the mail, its a great way for all the ones we have sent to us that we dont use put into good use and for unde 50cent a stamp, you help save a money lots of money on formula.
thank you luvkayln- how have you been feeling?
thanks for the offer but my daughter is now off of formula :)
i did, but DD was much older- 9 months and up. She did very well on it- no problems. In fact, I preferred it to brand (i think the smell was less gross and there was less foam, but I don't recall exactly). I know some people are adamant that you should use brand when it comes to baby formula, but i think it's worth a try.
nutritionally, formulas have to meet the same standards. It's the extra "stuff" in there that varies between different products. Each baby responds differently to them. When we first tried formula, DD could handle only 1 brand. Several months later, she did great on other brands, including the Parent's Choice.
Leighanne, you're so sweet! :)
pinkbelle- would you like me to mail you the coupon for it then? if so email me in a private message you mailing information.
i do when we used to run out of the good start.. and my daughter had no problems with it
I don't but for FYI for others, the fda mandates that generic formula must be identical to brand formula so if anyone wants to try it, it would be a safe bet..
Also, I messaged you privately Leigh
